Signed and dated by the author. Sold by the author. Though sales were good, this book was taken off the market because it caused the author trouble with various state medical and veterinary boards. That was in 2004. Now, the author doesn't care who reads it. In fact his current motto is "Bring it on!" This new edition contains the chapter on The Circumcision Diet. Book Review By Leonard Gray, managing editor of L'Observateur It's an odd, little book, filled with the most unlikely, funniest stories you never heard from your chiropractor. Originally called "Sam Donaldson's Toupee...and Other Material Off The Top Of My Head," by Dr. Daniel Kamen, it is a collection of short, humorous anecdotes. Kamen reels from funny chiropractor stories (yes, there are some) to chess competition stories to some of the more outrageous tall tales you'll ever read. The first chapter, The Circumcision Diet, explains why the only way to lose weight is to eat less food, and to not be taken in by celebrity endorsed diets. The book makes good casual reading, if you have 10 minutes to spare to read a story or two at a time. For example, he includes "The 50 Most Henpecked Men in History" and includes some of the most politically-incorrect jokes, puns, quips and one-liners you ever heard. Kamen also earned a name for himself as one of the first animal chiropractors, and his story about adjusting a giraffe's neck on live television is worth the price of the book alone. It's a male-oriented, chauvinistic and totally wrong for the 21st Century, but it's books like these which keep those stories alive, carrying on a tradition of Jewish humor. This reviewer tried to find a story to quote and could not find a single one which was appropriate for a family newspaper. Even with the new title and added weight loss chapters "The Circumcision Diet" is NOT recommended for ladies of taste and character, children or men who never swapped lies in the high school boys' locker room.
