Montana learns that all too well when she gets pregnant by a man named Rob, who wants nothing more than sex in the back of an old, beat up Camry.
Unfortunately, she gets pregnant for the first time and finds out just how hard motherhood can truly be. Without her own mother in her life, due to emotional and physical abuse, she’s forced to raise her daughter Maddie alone.
After several pleas for Rob to step up to the plate and be a good father to their little girl, Montana slowly realizes that he’s not going to change, so for the sake of her child, she reluctantly moves on.
Like most good mothers, Montana develops a strong independence that catches the eye of a handsome, charming, professional boxer, coincidentally named Rocky, who is instantly smitten with Montana and her daughter.
Unlike Rob, Rocky steps up to the plate and plays the role of a father in Maddie’s life, proving that you don’t have to be the biological parent to be a real father. Rocky is everything that Montana and Maddie need in their lives.
When Rob gets word of Montana and her new man, he’s not happy at all. His jealousy causes him to suddenly want to be a father to Maddie for all the wrong reasons, but Rocky isn’t standing for his madness at all
