EDGE: Hitting Paydirt

When the man called Edge rode into the old gold town of Paydirt, he wasn’t looking for gold; for pay neither. And dirt was just what he wanted to get rid of. A hot bath, a bellyful of decent food and a clean bed-that was all he needed. That and a new gun.
Which was why he was in the gunsmiths/trading in his worn and battered Frontier Colt for a new and shiny Frontier Colt-a workaday gun for a working gun-and paying no mind to the display of fancy ivory and pearl butted handguns, and the over-decorated Winchesters.
And it was then that his path was first crossed by Kitty, the pretty half-Chinese girl, who was about to make quite a litter in Paydirt. Of people. Who’d need not so much to be doctored as undertaken.
