Redemption For The Future Doctor's Love (Fortune In Ely Series)

Two identical twins…one woman dreaming of becoming a doctor…and a lawman with his own version of the truth?

Late one night, Polly Baker, daughter of the only doctor in the small town of Ely, Nevada, wakes up to find her father treating a patient she’s never seen before. That’s not so abnormal, but she’s nearly floored when she sees the same man’s face next to the patient’s bed. Identical twins are rare in her part of the world; in fact, she’s never met twins who look so much alike. The attraction between them is instant, but he’s gravely injured…he’s been shot and his brother was thrown from a horse…and it only gets worse as the tale begins to unfold.

Gunshot and exhausted beyond belief, handsome Bobby Elliott has a secret that he must share with someone, but they must believe him. Otherwise, it’s the hangman’s noose for him and his brother, for a crime they didn’t commit. His sister-in-law, niece and nephew are dead, along with a bunkhouse full of their hired hands, and the Elliott brothers have been blamed for the terrible tragedy.

Worse still, they are being hounded by the actual perpetrator of the crime—a sheriff on the wrong side of the law. However, all is not as it initially appears, and the town of Ely will not stand for innocence being doubted without solid evidence. For Polly and Doc, the twists and turns have just begun, but for Polly, there is already much at stake. She’s in love with Bobby Elliott, and he may hang before the day is done.

Will Polly and her father find a way to prove the innocence of the Elliott brothers, or will Polly lose the love of her life? Was she wrong to trust the handsome stranger on the run?

Can Bobby find a way to prove his innocence before he faces a lawman bent on revenge for reasons unknown—or is he doomed to pay for a long-forgotten secret, just like his brother’s lost family?
