Mecca and Broderick life was like a love story straight out of an African American urban fiction book. They wore flashy jewelry and all the latest designer clothes. He was her rock and in return she was his peace. True love was hard to find for the two of them, and even more. It was harder to keep.

Mecca was the epitome of a true ride or die chick down to do whatever she had to do in order to hold her man down. Even if holding him down meant that she would get sent to prison for something that she didn't do. She chalked it up to the game and decided to boss up and do what any down chick would do. Broderick promised to always be by her side through it all. That is until her time away gets very real and he finds himself caught in between the thighs of another woman in the ultimate betrayal. A betrayal so complicated that even God himself can’t get him out of.

Rikina, Mecca’s best friend, also handles the news of her going to prison hard and decides to be the sister that Mecca always wanted until life hits her hard and she has to make a choice between sisterhood or survival.

Behind the wall, Mecca does her time like the true boss she is but toward the end of her sentence she notices how things start to change between her and the ones around her and she can’t help but wonder what’s going on. Once she’s released from prison she begins the put her life back together but coincidentally the pieces of the puzzle start to form and she’s left with the ugly aftermath of the truth.

Will Mecca double down and ride for Broderick or will she decide that it’s time to finally get out of the driver’s seat?
