A man named Charles Wilder is supposedly responsible for the dark background of the mansion. Wilder, while a prominent and respected businessman of his day, had a personal proclivity for women outside his marriage to his wife, Suzanne. Among his dalliances, was a young slave girl named Corrie. After Suzanne found out about her husband's adultery, she took her own life and from that day forward, Daucourt Mansion was the home to a variety of resident spirits according to local lore.
Word of this legend reached The Elkton Ghost Hunters, a trio consisting of Sabrina, Josh, and Wendy. With the urging of a local self-proclaimed psychic and witch, Glory Trevil, the trio set off for St. Francisville to do their own investigation.
