Uncivil War: A Post-Apocalyptic Thriller

Jake Maddox is on leave from the military; finally getting a break from fighting his country's battles. When he witnesses a deranged man attack a young boy in broad daylight, Jake's quiet afternoon quickly descends into chaos. A pandemic that has swept the globe has made it to his hometown, and now he must find a way out.

The stakes are raised when Jake's race to save his loved ones turns into something much more than just survival after he rescues thirteen-year-old Amy from certain death. Because, Amy isn't like Jake and his group--she does not need the medicine they are taking to keep from getting sick. In fact, she's the only person alive who doesn't.

The longer they're on the run, what seemed like a random outbreak begins to feel more like a coordinated attack. And Jake starts to believe the girl he rescued might just be the only thing left that can rescue mankind. But before he can worry about saving the world, Jake must first survive the night. With a shocking discovery that shakes the foundation of his beliefs, and a terrifying enemy that continues to evolve, Jake and the others will need a miracle to stay alive.

Maybe that's what Amy is . . . a miracle . . . or maybe she is the most terrifying thing of all.
