Description ▲
Lectio Divina, Latin for divine reading, is a series of Bible studies that calls Christians to slow down, read Scripture, meditate on it, and prayerfully respond as they listen to God through His Word. Paul wrote this letter to a church he'd never visited. He longed to meet these believers in person, but at this stage in his third missionary journey the severe opposition he was meeting among the Jews, particularly in Jerusalem, made him unsure that he'd never reach Rome. So, he wrote this letter that so beautifully describes the universal truth of salvation by faith for Jews and Gentiles together.
