This IDC study examines the messaging applications market from 2008 to 2010. Revenue and market share of the leading vendors are provided for 2010.
"The messaging applications market is undergoing a transition and vendors need to find the right balance between supplying basic functionality found in easy-to-use enterprise IM with a sophisticated, multimodal experience," said Erin Traudt, research director for IDC's Enterprise Collaboration and Social Solutions program.
