Treenie's Beginning

Leaving a legacy was something discussed in our last Bible study that really spoke to my heart. I don't think legacy necessarily has to be an extravagant monetary inheritance. For me, I wanted to leave my daughter something from my heart that I am hopeful she will carry in her heart forever. This book is about my beginnings... as a Christian, a wife, mother, step-mother, and aspiring Chef. We're all given gifts to use purposefully in this life and I've chosen to use mine to show love, build bonds and cultivate relationships. I am currently enrolled in the culinary program at Fairmont State University with the hopes of completing my education to become a Chef. These recipes are successful experiments, each with a memory attached. This is the legacy I'm choosing to leave to my daughter. I've used opportunities in the kitchen as a classroom of sorts to teach, guide and create memories to cherish. We all love food and God has blessed me with the ability to prepare it well and love doing it. About seven years ago, a seed was planted in my heart to pursue my dream and I began praying about it. I believe my answer was given to me two years ago when my desire to publish this book formed. I am prayerful and hopeful, that whoever chooses to give these recipes a try will enjoy them as thoroughly as we did and still do today. Each one was created in love with the fun-filled, playful spirit that God has given me.
