MARYLAND TEST PREP English Language Arts MSA Reading Workbook Grade 7: Common Core Edition

About the Common Core Standards

The state of Maryland has adopted the Common Core standards. These standards describe what students are expected to know. In 2013-2014, students will be instructed based on these standards.

Each passage in this workbook includes a Core Skills Practice exercise. Each exercise focuses on one key reading, writing, or language skill. By completing these exercises, students will develop key Common Core skills. The questions with each set cover skills in both the State Curriculum and the new Common Core State Standards. This design will introduce students to the new skills and help students transition to the more challenging Common Core standards, while still ensuring that students are prepared for the MSA Reading test.
