The World Cup Cookbook isn't just a cookbook. As lifelong non-chef and football fan, I have aimed to capture the joyful soul of each World Cup nation’s cuisine in an easy way that’s a whole lot of fun. You’ll be transported to the colorful streets of Colombia with our empanadas, get lost in Italy’s tangle of ruins with our pizzas and take a safari through Ghana with a traditional meal of beef and rice. With vibrant photography and authentic recipes from everyday chefs, we have you covered for every World Cup occasion. At the 2006 World Cup in Germany I was lucky enough to stay with a local friend, Dennis, who welcomed me into his family, immersing me in German culture and cuisine – from home brewed beer to black forest cake to venison goulash (featured in the book). To this day when I taste any of those flavors, the best experiences I had at the World Cup come back to me. I hope this book can help you to create the same kind of memories.
