IBM Business Intelligence Solution

IBM uses its experience in data warehousing to build business intelligence solutions that combine the features of its DB2 Universal data base with tools for data analysis and Web-based information access. A strong emphasis has been placed on software for online analytical processing (OLAP), and data and text mining. IBM has also put considerable effort into using open standards so that its products can be integrated with other applications, although integration and the handling of metadata remains problematic.
