From the supplier: Florida's 1989 Instructional Computing Teacher of the Year Trudy Jermanovich is a middle school computer coordinator at Sunrise Middle School in Ft Lauderdale. She believes computers should be a medium as well as an object of study, and has been instrumental in building a LAN-based CAI system with built-in management capabilities to facilitate student remediation at her school. The system utilizes Corvus Systems Inc's Omninet network, and courseware from Ideal Learning Corp and Computer Networking Specialists Inc. It was financed by grants and fund raising activities, and was operational for the 1985-86 school year. Remedial instruction is provided in reading, math, English, and science. Teachers support the system fully, need little computer expertise to utilize it, and say it has a positive effect on students.
