From the supplier: Richard Kiley of Source Food Technology Inc in Minnesota is leading a research project to produce designer fats that combine the best elements of vegetable and animal fats. K.C. Hayes, a nutritional pathologist and doctor of veterinary medicine has studied dietary fat for over 25 years. Source Foods was able to separate cholesterol from fat, so Hayes could study fats alone. During this research, Hayes found that serum cholesterol levels were significantly reduced in animals that were fed this engineered fat. Human clinical trials through the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute of Minnesota began in Nov 1993 and will continue until Apr 1, 1994.
