From the supplier: Insurance industry observers do not expect that recent insurance agency increases in growth and profitability will exceed 1987 figures but forecast that agencies willing to focus on productivity and creativity will continue to grow in a generally shrinking and depressed market. Although many agencies have disappeared in 1992 and 1993, new insurance entrepreneurs have left huge companies and opened successful agencies. The West Coast, excepting offers little opportunity for agencies, but the Midwestern States provide a large, barely touched opportunity for agency growth and profitability.
