From the supplier: The zeal with which newspapers across the country are trying to diversify their work force is making white men nervous and angry. They fear that their race and gender will be handicaps for them as newsrooms seek a greater percentage of minorities on their staffs. Economists and social analysts feel that white men are losing their jobs and are unable to find new ones because of the recession and not because of diversification. Despite stated policies and quotas, minority journalists do not see any substantial change.
