From the supplier: David Erlich organized the Spenard Community Patrol in Spenard, Alaska, in 1992 to fight the spread of drug dealing, prostitution, after-hours drinking and gambling in the community. The group uses computers to digitize video recordings of suspect individuals. Erlich edits the video recordings to get close-up images, which are sent to community business owners and the police to help build criminal cases against suspects. Erlich's sophisticated methods have helped reduce crime and other illegal activities in Spenard.
