From the supplier: The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) changed the negative tone of its fund-raising letters following comments from Congressman G.V. Montgomery. The new letters attempted to raise funds by emphasizing the services provided by the DAV to veterans rather than encouraging anti-government sentiments. These new letters increased donations by 42% and received a Silver Echo Award from the Direct Marketing Assn. in 1995.
