From the supplier: Employed Americans believe they are getting worse medical care in 1997 than they did five years earlier, according to a survey sponsored by Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Co and Employers Council on Flexible Compensation. Workers attribute the demise of the health care system to the rise of health maintenance organizations. Surveyed employers also indicated that health care costs could be cut if they were offered more flexibility in choosing among different health care plans.
