From the author: This article focuses on ways to improve the implementation of change in the human resource function. It examines the need to create an aggressive, action-oriented agenda for change that goes beyond vision and vague initiatives. It defines three factors for transforming the human resources function in large multinational corporations. The three factors are illustrated through comparisons of the experiences of five large, successful multinationals that applied them to varying degrees in their strategies to revitalize HRM.
