From the supplier: Telemedecine, or using information technology to deliver medical services and information from one place to another, is here to stay and will alter how medecine is practiced. Although the quality of care improves when a teaching hospital's expertise is readily available to an isolated doctor, jurisdictional and conflict of law issues are among the possible legal problems. The Federation of State Medical Boards is considering a model telemedecine act which would provide a limited license permitting telemedecine contacts.
