Although the quality of care improves when a teaching hospital's expertise is readily available to an isolated doctor, jurisdictional and conflict of law issues are among the possible legal problems. The Federation of State Medical Boards is considering a model telemedecine act which would provide a limited license permitting telemedecine contacts.
