Description
This IDC study, which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J6200104, analyzes the identity and access management (IAM) market in the Japanese information security market. The IAM market in the security software market will continue to grow steadily after 2006 thanks to the growing demand for security systems integration in line with the trends of IT systems integration. The security and vulnerability management (SVM) product market is likely to expand its market among small and medium-sized companies as information leakage prevention measures.
IDC Japan's security research manager, Takuo Tsukamoto, says, "Companies will continue to promote strengthening of internal control after 2006. IAM products and SVM products contribute to security system operation management and are regarded as solutions to establish IT governance for the sake of achieving internal control." He adds, "Large companies are likely to continue investing on the market and that the IAM market can expect high growth rate in the future."
