Japan Supply Chain Management Solution 2006–2010 Forecast

This IDC study (which is a translation of the Japanese report IDC #J6090105) analyzes the SCM solution market in Japan in 2005 and provides market forecast from 2006 to 2010. The SCM solution market reached 272.7 billion yen in 2005, marking a year-on-year increase of 3.4%. The SCM solution market is expected to expand at the CAGR of 3.1% from 2006 to 2010 to reach 317.5 billion yen in 2010.

"SCM solution vendors are required to provide SCM solutions with high responsiveness that can cope with the rapidly-changing market environment promptly and flexibly. It is important for vendors to support improvement of demand forecast accuracy through collaboration among divisions and companies, to provide SCM solutions with RFID, and to raise industry specialists," observes Rinako Suzuki, research analyst, Software Group, IDC Japan.
