Western Europe Vertical Market ERP Applications Spending, Forecast 2007-2011
Book Details
Description
This IDC study provides an analysis of ERP applications with the aim of mapping growth opportunities in all the major Western European industry sectors. A five-year forecast is presented together with qualitative analysis covering the overall ERP implementation trends in specific industries, highlighting growth potential as well as drivers and inhibitors in the forecast period.
The focus is on spending for ERP applications from 2006 to 2011 in Western Europe, and in the top 5 Western European countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the U.K.
The study covers the following 11 vertical markets: discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, retail/wholesale, transport, communications, utilities, financial services, government, healthcare and education, business services, and other.
"The largest revenue opportunities for ERP vendors will continue to lie in discrete and process manufacturing, and in retail/wholesale, which together represent about 54% of the total market," said Serena Da Rold, program manager, European Vertical Views. "Growth in these industries will remain subdued compared to smaller and faster-growing sectors, but nevertheless, we have witnessed a turnaround in spending trends in the manufacturing industry over the last year."
