Worldwide Embedded DBMS 2011-2015 Forecast and 2010 Vendor Shares

This IDC study presents the vendor shares for the embedded DBMS market in 2010 and offers a five-year forecast for the market by region and operating environment ending in 2015.

"Embedded DBMS rebounded in 2010 after a fairly dismal 2009. The fate of embedded DBMS is closely tied to the tools and applications in which such DBMS products are embedded," says Carl Olofson, research vice president for Database Management and Data Integration Software at IDC. "The overall outlook for embedded DBMS remains strong. Uncertainty in the economy can always change that, of course."
