Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners – physicians and other healthcare professionals – with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

The goal of this program is to improve women’s health, including management of menopause and menorrhagia, eating disorders, prevention of cardiovascular disease, and osteoporosis and bone health. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Tailor hormone therapy to a patient’s underlying medical condition and lifestyle to minimize risks and maximize therapeutic benefit.
2: Manage hot flushes, sleep and irritability symptoms, and vaginal atrophy in the menopausal patient.
3: Prescribe effective short- and long-term medical therapy for relief of menorrhagia.
4: Utilize presence of breast arterial calcification on mammography as a marker to identify women at risk for developing coronary heart disease.
5: Reassess the roles of calcium and vitamin D supplementation in the prevention of osteoporosis and fractures and falls.
