How It all Began
“Quite frankly, I have had enough of this. I will not be talked into this hypnotism hocus-pocus.†Faye snapped at Tim, an exasperated expression formed on her face.
“Well, this is exactly what I was talking about. You never listen to others!†Tim put up his arms in protest, feigning frustration. This was all in accordance to plan; he knew it would not be easy to convince his serious, no-nonsense boss to be hypnotized. He adjusted his seat and look across at the beautiful 29 year old blonde sitting across him.
Faye Browne, founder of Faye Consultancy, was a savvy sales woman, but had found the goings tough after starting her own business 2 years ago. She had built up her company using her roster of clientele that she had amassed from her days working at a larger advertising firm. Blessed with a combination of good looks and smarts, she managed to win a few large projects in her first few months, and the company had grown quickly. Tim Harrison was one of her first hires.
Faye had first met Tim when they went head-to-head competing in a large account, and Faye knew that Tim was perfect for the Sales Director role that she had filled herself before his hiring. Tim Harrison, 5 years her senior, had initially declined her offer, worried about his prospects in a start up. Faye, however soon had the handsome, broad-shouldered MBA won over. After all, business is all about contacts, and Faye had that in abundance. Tim’s recruitment strengthen the company’s early success and Faye quickly assembled a team of young, hungry sales executives to support him. Despite Faye’s initial success, the company’s profitability is now in jeopardy as two of her largest customers have recently decided to part ways.
