In this issue, Arquitectura Viva delves into the world of prefabrication around six specific themes and six international works: the cruise ship terminal in Seville, built with sea containers by Arquitectos Hombre de Piedra; the CEIP Josep Guinovart in Castelldefels, Barcelona, built with prefab concrete elements by Pich-Aguilera Arquitectos; the Tamedia headquarters in Zurich, built using wood by Shigeru Ban; the student residence in Delft, built with prefab modules by Mecanoo Architecten; the residence for the elderly in Pfäfers, whose facade has been built with prefabricated ceramic elements by Huggenbergerfries Architekten; and the Antarctic Research Station Halley VI, built with facade panels.
