I’m going to start with something fairly obvious: you have what you have earned. This will not be a book filled with quotes destined to become memes across the internet. It is much simpler than that. We all have dreams; we all started out wanting something else. Over time, and through fear, we made a choice to take a road that felt safe. This road led to a job that provided comfort and a way to float through life, tumbling through one distraction after another. There is a point along the road where we remember our dreams; sudden and frightening, we come to the realization that we are no closer to doing what we set out to do. There is no shame in this if you can live without regret––without wishing that circumstances were different.
