"Mastery is the game within the game"

Many people confuse mastery with success, while success is a game, mastery is the game within the game to get to the next level. • There are two types of games: (1) Standardized, with standardized rules and measures, and (2) Unknown games, you chose the rules.
Surrender to the process means willingness to walk difficult paths towards lifelong learning, Fast track to mastery is possible, not easy. • There are 3 major areas in which we tend look for easy shortcuts that never deliver: (1) Health, (2) Money, and (3) Relationships.

Above the process syndrome

Overconfidence is a consequence of fake mastery, when high performers reach a peak level and they stop training as hard by assuming that we already know enough or are good enough, so we don’t try as hard as we should.

Real masters enjoy the game itself, a result doesn’t change them, by ignoring the plateau effect, we fall into the fallacy of progress, which says that the more we practice the more we should improve. Improvement is never a straight line nor a curved line, but constant ups and downs that show an upward tendency if effort doesn’t stop.

Creativity is a process similar to a snowball effect, one grain of sand–disruptive–idea grows exponentially by progressive acceptance. The most creative people of the world were those who dare to contradict the old maps of reality and were initially socially rejected. The mind like an iceberg, the conscious represents the top, with the difficulties of: (1) Limited memory access and (2) language barrier. Intuition is the channel of communication between the conscious and unconscious, it works like a file decompression software.

Life-hacking the system

it isn’t: (1) A quick fix, (2) Management, or (3) Cheating. It means testing unconventional–and perhaps inconvenient–approaches to discover shortcuts in our field, the 5 most important aspects to life-hacking are
