In this comedy about dogs, Digger is a seven-year-old beagle, and he's having a midlife crisis.

Believing that the grass must be greener on the other side of his fence, he digs a hole underneath it and runs off to New Orleans in search of a better life.While traveling through the South, he meets up with a French hound dog named Jacque, an existential therapist for "good dogs gone stray."
