Never, Ever Apologize (Escape From Reality Series Book 18)

Never forget the past…

A year ago, Kristiana Teller, tatted up, gun-toting, former hacker-for-hire, fled to Escape, Colorado, after kidnapping Evelynn to save her from her mother’s perverted boyfriend. At first, life in the small town was perfect, idyllic even, but that didn’t last long. Soon after arriving, Kristiana began receiving anonymous notes from someone who knew her darkest secrets. It took some doing, but eventually, she unmasked ‘Mr. Anonymous’ and put him down in an efficient, but bloody manner. A bullet always does the trick.

Never, ever, ever get too comfortable…

Six months later, Kristiana’s life is pure bliss. Her daughters, Kaylei and Evelynn, are gearing up to start Kindergarten, she’s about to buy a house, and, the man in her life understands her on a level that no one else ever has. Happiness feels good, but it’s a fickle bastard. When Evelynn claims to have seen her abuser walking around Escape, Kristiana is at a loss. That’s impossible, for two reasons: One, she changed their names and fled twelve hundred miles across the country. Two, the man responsible for hurting Evelynn burned to death in a fire. Or…did he?

Never think the past is done with you…

At first, there’s no proof that a ghost from Kristiana’s past has come to haunt Escape. But then, unsettling things start to happen. When her house is broken into, the intruder leaves behind a blood-chilling message, confirming that once again, her new life is in jeopardy. The last time her family was threatened, Kristiana shot a man, and she was more than capable of doing it again. Only this time, she wouldn’t be aiming for his shoulder, she’d be aiming for his goddamned head.

Revenge is a dish best served by a mother…
