Miakoda (Power of the Moon) is the fourth book in my Crow Nation Series. As all my books are, this is a clean Native American Historical Romance set it the mid-1700s before white men moved to the western area. My books are fiction with some facts sprinkled throughout the story.
Miakoda was a beautiful young woman who cared deeply for all her people. However, because of a disability she had since birth, most in her village would not accept her. They only played tricks on her and laughed every time she fell since; her balance was off. Miakoda learned from a very young age not to expect any warrior to want to claim her for a wife.
That is until a warrior from another village came to live in her village. Miakoda found it hard to believe such a handsome, strong warrior would want to be anywhere near her much less join with her. Everything seemed to be working against this joining and more than one-time Miakoda’s life was put in danger because of her disability. Each time this happened, it seemed Nawat was always there for her, but there was also always another stronger woman there wanting him.
Miakoda found the thought of her strong warrior having to endure the tricks from the other warriors because of her, was too much to bear. She decided to let him go and find a good strong woman to be his wife. However, the Creator seemed to have different ideas for these two, and when a white wolf came into the picture, their whole life did a flip.
