From the supplier: Coriolis gas meter manufacturers are urging food processors and other process makers to try out the coriolis meters in measuring gas flow. Coriolis devices unlike conventional mass flowmeters use an operational principle that is not vulnerable to distortion. Gas flow is gauged via the so-called coriolis effect, which is the tendency of the earth's rotation to deflect a body from its course of motion. Thus, the devices are substantially more accurate and reliable than traditional mass flowmeters and, although more costly, are much less expensive to install and maintain.
