The auction is at 771 Norvega Boulevard.
I'm four weeks pregnant - and heartbroken.
And I'm about to become the property of some lowlife with a thick bank account.I can see eager hands shooting into the air.
"We got one thousand over here"
"Who can do him one better?
"Five thousand,"
"Ten thousand dollars," shouted a man sitting towards the front.
The room went silent.
That's it. I'm gone...
"Ten thousand," the auctioneer said again.
"Going once... going
twice..."
"One-hundred-thousand-dollars"The sudden and massive bid took the air out of the room.
"Going once . . . going twice . . .
sold, to the gentleman there in the back."
"Mr. Gutierrez, is it?"
"You can come pick up your prize"
He scans me thoroughly as he comes forward.
His eyes meet mine.
He knows I'm terrified.
Who is this guy?
What will happen to me now? This is a novel with a "Happy Ever After" ending, for adults only. The story stands by self, even if the characters, places and situations depicted may be mentioned in other of my books.
