From the supplier: Technological advances have eliminated many of the limitations of programmable logic controllers (PLC) for batch processing. Their limited memory used to be a problem for food processors, particularly those with frequently changing batch formulations or processing steps. The currently available PLCs have a memory capacity ranging from around 2KB to over 2MB. This improvement allows end users to develop a control system based on the complexity of a process.
